Things are better when untouched, especially in nature, and is my belief when it comes to milk. This raw milk soap was saponified a bit too long, and came-out like, well, fudge. Same as the raw milk soap but darker and sweeter smelling :) Looks like a block of fudge.
Milk has many benefits, internally and externally. From a high natural protein content, to good fats, it is unmatched in its category. On the skin, milk - cow, or goat or sheep - does wonders in its ability to fight oxidation and restore and moisturize, making our skin look healthier and glowing.
Raw milk contains lactic acid (something we produce in our muscles after exertion), helps to remove dead skin cells and stimulates new cell growth. Because of its biological profile, including its immunomodulatory properties, etc., it is widely used in the treatment of dermatological diseases, by promoting the healing of chronic wounds, regenerating tissue and use in plaque psoriasis. It has also been found by some to help in treating acne prone skin as it cleans the excess dirt and oils from your skin, reducing the number of acne lesions and blackheads, regulating sebum secretion and more.
The PH level in milk is also in-line with human PH. Milk's creaminess lends to its support of eczema, psoriasis and dry skin. Milk is also rich in vitamins B, A and D, calcium and many different antioxidants that improve your skin.
This soap is made from raw milk, saponified olive oil, coconut oil and tallow (just for this recipe).

All soaps are made using the traditional method, which is lye and water saponified with oils to create soap! No two soaps are alike. Each one is unique.
