This was the first soap I got so creative with, and it was born out of love. The turmeric is a sunrise.
Turmeric not only symbolizes fertility and prosperity, but also represents purity and spiritual connection with the earth, and, I only found-out, the deep yellow is associated with the Sun.
Turmeric is a rhizome (root), like ginger. It produces roots below the ground and sends up shoots - Turmeric powder is made from the dried root. Turmeric is anti-inflammatory internally, but on the skin is brightening and can even-out complexion. I love the scent and the ochre colour. This soap, with its beautiful mix of oils (cinnamon, orange, vanilla and more) makes the scent so moreish and gives you just what your body deserves...Calendula adorns the top and the bottom of the soap has apricot seed granules for an exfoliant. ☀️ Made with saponified olive, coconut, castor and shea.
